I've having a lot of fun with long shutter speeds. What I did is set it for a 30 sec exposure and waved about my mobile phone torch. Try it - its fun! There are a couple of result on here, but many more at my Flickr account.

Canon EOS 400D
Finally, after months of waiting, I got round to getting myself a proper camera. It was a close call between the Canon and the Nikon D40, but after trying them out I definitely preferred the Canon. I've put a couple of experimental shots up here, but I'm waiting for the weather to improve before I really start putting it through its paces.

Ubuntu Vs Vista
Just an update about OS's etc...
I am now currently running Ubuntu and Vista dual boot.
Plus Points of Each
Ubuntu will run for years without need to restart - never crashes.
Its completely free.
It has some fantastic applications.
It gives you a smug sense of satisfaction every time a Windows user complains.
No spyware/viruses. At all.
Looks nice. (see desktop screenshot)
Vista is graphically impressive, especially Aero.
The feature which lets you increase RAM using removable storage is super.
Its pretty secure - it really doesn't do anything without your permission.
The sidebar looks great.

2 years of inactivity and all of a sudden we are greeted by some advertisement for your new Ceidlidh band.
That's just unfair to your fans, we demand photgraphy! Not, well composed music and fancy keyboarding skills!
Maybe I'll just conclude and wish you the best of luck with your endeavours and hope the band does well. I sampled some of the music and I found it quite interesting. I particularly liked the Jazz set.
